“Anna Schulze is a refreshing update on the singer/songwriter. She plays electric guitar, sings from the heart, and brings energy and passion to the stage. She simmers and shimmers somewhere between power pop and emo rock, and her melodies evoke the great American summer…” ~ Glen Ballard

Anna Schulze is a multi-faceted songwriter, artist, and producer.

A native Minnesotan, her music has been featured in dozens of television shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19, Batwoman as well as major ad campaigns and trailers (Control Z, How To Build A Girl,  to name a few.) As an artist, Schulze’s songs echo themes of self-assertion, freedom, vulnerability.

Schulze dropped her self-produced album ‘Break Your Heart, Keep It Open’ in 2021 which was described as "not just a kaleidoscopic thrill ride between genres or an exemplar of confessional songwriting, it’s a flex." [BuzzBands]. The album includes singles “A New Way,” "Arms", and “Let This Be Ok,” (featured in the trailer for HBO's "Veneno").

Aside from her prolific solo work, Schulze collaborates frequently with other artists and writers, teaming up with Maia Sharp to form their duo Roscoe & Etta. Their first single “Broken Headlights” went Top Ten at Triple A radio, and the duo has opened for Lissie, Dispatch, Mt Joy, Wood Brothers, and more. She graduated from University of Southern California where she studied Popular Music and also worked with mentor, Glen Ballard (Katy Perry, Alanis Morisette, Michael Jackson).

Recently, her new Christmas song "Nowhere Else I'd Rather Be" (written with Rosi Golan and Scott Effman) was featured on Minnesota Public Radio's #MinnesotaNow series, hosted by Cathy Wurzer.
